Description



Dashi Namdakov is a well-known Russian sculptor born in 1967 in Chita Region of Russia. His work is closely tied to the national Buryat culture, Mongolian epos and the legends and parables of Buddhism. What is more, is is distinguished by academic precision, particular expressiveness of character, and accuracy in rendering movement. In recent years, Namdakov began exploring new means of expression. Influenced by contemporary art, he has introduced color into bronze sculpture, also attempting to convey his attitude through the expressiveness of form. Dashi Namdakov is a member of the Russian Union of Artists, corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts, member of the Russian Academy of Cinema, Honorary Member of the Florentine Academy of Drawing Art, Government of Russian Federation Prize Winner.
